Fashinnovation is all about exciting fashion technology. Now on its 3rd edition, the New York event gathers, in only one day (from 8 am to 10 pm!), the best innovations and exciting news in the fashion and tech business. Under the "Fashion Is To Love" theme, Fashinnovation consists of more than 50 diverse speakers inspiring and sharing knowledge in pannels, along with fashion shows and a trade show. Fashion tech is always a common denominator amongst brands and speakers invited -- and so is sustainability.

Marcelo & Jordana Guimarães: Fashinnovation's Founders
The power couple behind the event, founder Marcelo has been in the entrepreneurship area throughout his life, while his wife Jordana has worked in the fashion industry for the last 15 years. Joining their knowledge of technology and fashion, the couple created the innovation-focused event. On this 3rd edition, Marcelo and Jordana will open and close the event with two short talks: "Fashion Is To Love" and "Fashion is Fashinnovation".

Carry Somers: Transparency and Fashion Revolution
It might be a brief 15 minutes (from 1.30 pm to 1.45 pm), but it's always worth hearing what Carry Somers has to say. Alongside Orsola de Castro, she is one of the founders of Fashion Revolution, a global movement that invites consumers and fashion brands to be more transparent about their sustainable practices (both towards the environment and towards people). A great talk to get inspired and take action!
Dana Davis: Sustainability at Mara Hoffman
Dana Davis is the vice-president of Sustainability, Product and Business Strategy at Mara Hoffman. Since 2015, it's Davis' work to reevaluate and rethink critical steps in order to reconfigure the luxury's brand supply chain. She is also an advisor for Fashion Revolution in the US. Her talk is part of the "Fashion Is Sustainable Supply Chains" pannel, along with Jacqueline Jenkins (author of "Fashion Supply Management") and Divya Demato (co-founder, GoodOps), moderated by Richard Demato (co-founder, GoodOps).
Julia Daviy: 3D Printing and Sustainable Fashion
If you've ever wondered how 3D printing could relate to sustainable fashion, Julia Daviy is the answer. The fashion designer and sustainability advocate creates cruelty-free, 3D printed clothes that reduce waste and the general carbon footprint of a piece. With her work at the New Age Lab, they also rethink apparel manufacturing by testing new technologies to find new solutions for an innovative wardrobe. She is part of the "Fashion Is Aesthetics and Aerospace" at 2.10 pm, with Becca McCharen (founder, Chromat) and Erica Bernhard (founder, Covalent), moderated by Cassandra Napoli (editor, WGSN Insights).
